Webinar: HEAL Research Dissemination and Engagement Center (R-DEC)

Thu, 6/9/2022 - 11:00am - 12:00pm
Wed, 6/1/2022 - 1:00pm - 2:00pm

Overview

In response to the opioid crisis, NIH launched the Helping to End Addition Long-term® Initiative, or NIH HEAL Initiative®, a trans-NIH effort spanning basic, translational, clinical, and implementation science on opioid misuse, addiction, pain, and related conditions. To date, HEAL has funded nearly $2 billion in research, representing more than 600 research projects across the United States. The NIH HEAL Initiative intends to disseminate research findings and data as broadly as possible to pain and addiction researchers, along with the broader stakeholder community, including healthcare providers, advocacy groups, community and public health organizations, state and local health agencies, and others.

The NIH HEAL Initiative is hosting this technical assistance webinar for the Research Opportunity Announcement (ROA) for a Research-Dissemination and Engagement Center: OTA-22-005, which will review the core components of the ROA and include time for Q&A. The HEAL Research-Dissemination and Engagement Center (R-DEC) is expected to lead to engagement, partnerships, activities, and training toward enhanced dissemination. This webinar will be held a second time at a later date to be determined.
