Applicant Webinar: HEAL Initiative Studies to Enable Analgesic Discovery

Overview

NIH staff will hold a pre-application webinar on Monday, April 30, 2024, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET for those interested in learning more about the notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) RFA-NS-25-012 HEAL Initiative: Studies to Enable Analgesic Discovery (R61/R33 - Clinical Trial Not Allowed). This NOFO seeks to support initial translational efforts that will enable an analgesic drug discovery program and advance projects to the point where they meet the entry criteria for the Pain Therapeutics Development Program (RFA-NS-24-019) or other later-stage translational programs. The program provides funding for assay development and validation, screening to identify initial hits, and characterization of potential therapeutic agents including small molecules, biologics, and natural products.
