Overview

HEAL data sharing efforts are most effective when researchers understand the full scope of expectations across the research lifecycle, from study registration to data submission. In this webinar, HEAL Stewards and Platform Team members will provide an overview of the HEAL Data Ecosystem and walk through the HEAL PI Checklist, a key resource designed to guide investigators through each step of the data sharing process.

The webinar will begin with a 30-minute presentation and introduction to the HEAL Data Ecosystem, and the teams that support it—the HEAL Stewards and Platform team—and the guidance they provide. The webinar will also cover the PI Checklist and tracking tool, along with practical tips for avoiding last-minute roadblocks. Attendees will learn about key checklist steps, including selecting a repository, submitting study-level and variable-level metadata, and preparing data for submission.

The session will conclude with live office hours from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm in breakout rooms, where participants can receive tailored support on topics such as platform registration, metadata development, repository selection, and data packaging.
